Priest in Huancayo urges voters to reject dishonest politicians

During a mass in the Sapallanga district of Huancayo, Father Enrique Campos Camasca urged parishioners to vote responsibly in the upcoming regional and municipal elections scheduled for October 4.

Without naming specific candidates or political parties, the priest advised the community not to vote for “the same usual scoundrels” or “the same usual disloyal people” who continue to damage the country. He emphasized that voters should choose representatives based on their love for the land and their known integrity.

Father Campos also warned citizens against allowing their votes to be influenced by campaign gifts or false promises. He reminded the congregation that voters must take responsibility for their decisions and avoid complaining about future authorities if they do not carefully evaluate those seeking public office.
