Priest Pedro Chiesa in intensive care after fog‑shrouded crash on Ruta Provincial 2

A front‑on collision between a Fiat Cronos and a Chevrolet Onix occurred on Monday morning on Ruta Provincial 2 near Alto Alegre, Córdoba Province, Argentina. The impact left both drivers with multiple injuries. One of the drivers was Father Pedro Chiesa, the parish priest of Exaltación de la Cruz in Noetinger, who was traveling to a diocesan meeting in Villa María.

Chiesa and the other driver were first taken to Hospital Regional Pasteur in Villa María for initial assessment, then transferred to Clínica La Cañada, where the priest remains in the intensive‑care unit under cardiac monitoring.
