Prievidza opens revitalized Kopanice inner block with family afternoon

The inner block of the Kopanice housing estate in Prievidza has been fully revitalized. The renovation added a modern children's playground divided by age groups, reconstructed pedestrian pathways, new park furniture, upgraded public lighting and extensive greenery, creating a safe and pleasant space for residents of all ages.

To mark the official opening, the city organized a family afternoon on Thursday, 13 August 2026, from 15:00 to 18:00. Duo Tropicana provided live music while children enjoyed a 3‑in‑1 inflatable attraction, face painting, a water mist, and unlimited free ice shavings. Creative workshops let kids paint canvas bags, make wooden butterflies, friendship bracelets, themed badges and a “flower‑pot of happiness.” The event offered a chance for neighbours to meet and celebrate the new community hub.
