Prievidza to host NOX:ART light art festival

The NOX:ART festival will transform the Píly housing estate in Prievidza into an open-air gallery over two autumn evenings. The event aims to connect the area's historical artistic heritage, specifically its unique sgraffiti, with contemporary technology and modern creations from both local and international artists.

Key attractions include the ten-meter light installation ‘The Moon’ by BN Label, located in the City Park, and the ‘Seed Sprout’ inflatable installation by British artists Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas, which will be displayed at the Hotel Magura. The light program also features ‘The Signal’ by the Slovak team Kvant Show Production.

Local artists will also contribute to the program, including Roman Turcel with ‘Podanie’, Eva Škandíková with ‘Nerušte moje kruhy’, and Robert Tame with the interactive installation ‘Keď sme ticho, obrazy miznú’. The festival seeks to encourage residents and visitors to view the long-standing architectural features of the Píly district through a new lens.
