Périgord region sets Guinness World Record for largest goat cheese platter
The Périgord region in France has successfully established a new Guinness World Record for the largest platter of goat cheeses. The event, held in Meyrals, featured a total of 388 goat cheeses gathered from around the world.
Thirteen Croatian cheesemakers participated in the project, contributing 30 different varieties of cheese to the record-breaking platter. Representing the Croatian Goat Cheese Team, these producers came from various counties, including Zagreb, Karlovac, Split-Dalmatia, and Vukovar-Srijem. Notable participants included Tatjana Lovrić-Jovanović, who presented cheese scraps and citrus-infused varieties.
Following a tasting and review by 388 judges, the event was officially certified. The initiative, launched by the Périgord region, aimed to promote the diversity of goat cheese production globally.
