Prijedor installs access ramp at Mladost Sports Hall

A new access ramp has been constructed at the “Mladost” Sports Hall in Prijedor to assist persons with disabilities in accessing public spaces and participating in sports activities.

Stevica Dronjak, director of the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities of Republika Srpska, noted that while the Fund currently only finances workplace adaptations, there are plans to develop new legal solutions to allow the Fund to finance broader accessibility improvements.

Biljana Tomić, president of the Association of Paraplegics Prijedor, highlighted the importance of cooperation between the local community and the republic fund. She noted that while progress has been made in overcoming architectural barriers in Prijedor, further efforts are needed to improve the environment for all citizens in various public areas.
