Prijedor Retirees Association receives highest municipal budget funds

The Prijedor Retirees Association receives 320,000 KM annually from the local municipal budget, the highest amount of any pensioners' association in the Republic of Srpska, according to Brdar.

The association allocates 100,000 KM for spa and climate rehabilitation. The remaining 200,000 to 220,000 KM is used for one-time financial aid, social gatherings, excursions, and partial medical cost coverage, particularly for pensioners with serious or incurable illnesses. The association reports that it provides one-time financial assistance to over 60 percent of its members.

Additionally, the Republic of Srpska government has issued payments to pensioners, providing 120 KM to those with pensions below 698 KM and 80 KM to those with above-average pensions.
