Prijedor Tourism Organization celebrates 20 years and reports growth

The Prijedor Tourism Organization celebrated its 20th anniversary with a program at Kozara featuring a promotional film and a review of its two decades of work. Acting Director Dijana Aramanda noted that the organization aims to continue promoting the city and ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors.

Official statistics show growth in the tourism sector for Prijedor. During the first six months of the year, tourist arrivals increased by 8.3 percent and overnight stays rose by 7.1 percent compared to the same period last year. Aramanda mentioned that these figures may not fully reflect the actual situation due to unregistered accommodation capacities, such as short-term apartments, which authorities are working to legalize.

Future plans include moving the organization to a new location in the center of Prijedor, which will require reconstruction funded through the city budget. The organization also intends to focus on the digitalization of tourism offerings, utilizing technologies such as 360-degree virtual tours, QR codes, and artificial intelligence for content translation.
