Prilep hosts inaugural Itar Pejo International Folklore Festival

The city of Prilep is hosting the inaugural ‘Itar Pejo’ International Folklore Festival, a new cultural event aimed at boosting local tourism and promoting cultural exchange. The festival features folklore ensembles from Macedonia, Poland, and Slovakia.

Organized by KUD ‘Mirce Acev’ under the patronage of the Municipality of Prilep and the ‘Marko Cepenkov’ Cultural Center, the event showcases traditional dances, music, and costumes. Goran Vasilevski, president of KUD ‘Mirce Acev’, noted that the festival serves as a meeting point for different cultures and generations to celebrate European and Macedonian heritage.

Prilep Mayor Dejan Prodanoski emphasized that the festival provides a platform to present Macedonian folklore to international guests while allowing citizens to experience the traditions of other nations.
