Prilep supporters boycott new GFK Pobeda 2026 club

The supporters group ‘Majmuni Prilep 1997’ has announced a boycott of the newly formed football club GFK Pobeda 2026. The group stated they will not attend matches or display their name and insignia because they believe the club is being influenced by political interests and that they were excluded from its formation.

According to the supporters, sports should remain free from political interference. They expressed concerns regarding past issues in Prilep football, including alleged match-fixing, and emphasized that they will not support any club using the name ‘Pobeda’ for personal or political gain.

However, the group noted they have received unconfirmed information that the ‘old’ Pobeda—the club with the original history and tradition—may be returning to compete in the Fourth A League. The supporters indicated they would offer support if this information regarding the original club is officially confirmed.
