Primaflor acquires Zanobeet to expand vegetable catalog

Primaflor has acquired 100% of Zanobeet, S.L., an agri-food company based in Cádiz specializing in the production, marketing, and distribution of fresh vegetables and tubers.

The acquisition is part of Primaflor’s growth strategy to diversify its product catalog and incorporate high-demand categories such as sweet potato, beetroot, red onion, and pumpkin. This expansion is intended to better serve retailers and distributors both nationally and internationally, particularly in markets like the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and France.

Geographically, the deal allows Primaflor to incorporate new agricultural zones in Cádiz and Seville, complementing its existing production areas. This diversification aims to strengthen supply security and extend production calendars. The companies also plan to explore new product formats, including prepared foods and microwaveable solutions.
