Primark to host free sewing workshop in Lisbon
Primark is bringing its successful European “Repair Workshops” program to Portugal. On October 21, the retailer will host a free event at its Colombo store in Lisbon.
Led by specialists from the sewing school Maria Modista, the workshop will teach participants various hand-sewing and repair techniques. Topics include replacing buttons, adding pockets, personalizing garments, and applying simple upcycling and embroidery methods to extend the life of clothing.
Sessions are scheduled for 12:00, 17:00, and 19:00, catering to all experience levels. Attendees will receive a sewing kit, a repair guide, and a reusable cloth bag. This initiative follows a broader European campaign where Primark has conducted over 400 sessions and provided more than 7,000 spots for customers and employees.
