Primark to open new stores in Setúbal and Castelo Branco
Primark has announced the opening dates for two new stores in Portugal as part of a 45 million euro investment plan. The first new location will open at Forum Castelo Branco on September 2, followed by a larger store at Alegro Setúbal on September 10.
The Setúbal location will span over 1,626 square meters, offering fashion for men, women, and children, alongside beauty, lifestyle, and home products. It will feature both traditional checkouts and self-checkout options. The Castelo Branco store will cover more than 929 square meters.
These openings are expected to create over 80 new jobs, with more than 50 in Setúbal and 30 in Castelo Branco. This expansion is part of a broader strategy to reach 18 stores in Portugal and create more than 300 new jobs nationwide. Future planned locations include Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto, and Covilhã, as well as an expansion of the existing Forum Coimbra site.
