Primary Hydrogen announces first drilling at Wicheeda North project

Primary Hydrogen Corp. has announced a fully funded exploration program for its Wicheeda North rare earth project in British Columbia. The Calgary-based company plans to conduct its first-ever drilling at the property, targeting approximately 1,500 metres of drilling in 2026.

Before mobilizing drilling rigs, the company will execute a sequence of soil geochemical sampling and an airborne radiometric survey. This approach aims to refine targets by measuring potassium, uranium, and thorium responses, as elevated thorium can indicate rare earth-bearing carbonatites. The results will be integrated with regional LiDAR data and historical geophysical information to select final drill sites.

The company has secured a five-year Mines Act permit that allows exploration at up to 70 drill sites, as well as trenching and 8 kilometres of access, covering activities through 2030 without requiring further Notice of Work applications. The Wicheeda North project spans 2,138 hectares within the northern Cariboo Mining Division.
