Primate Ayodele warns Nigerians against political violence

Primate Elijah Ayodele, founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a warning to Nigerian youths against engaging in political violence ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a video shared on social media, Ayodele cautioned citizens not to allow politicians to manipulate them into dangerous activities for relatively small sums of money.

Ayodele noted that political rivals often reconcile after elections, whereas the supporters who engage in conflict are left to face the consequences alone. He specifically mentioned that leaders like Tinubu and Atiku are friends, suggesting that the animosity felt by supporters is often superficial. He urged Nigerians to avoid risking their lives, limbs, or freedom for politicians who he described as a ‘use and dump’ group that would not subject their own families to the same risks they demand from the public.
