Primavera do Leste expands nature tourism initiatives

The municipality of Primavera do Leste is working to diversify its tourism sector by focusing on nature and experience-based tourism. While the local economy is currently driven by agribusiness and business-related travel—such as technology fairs and corporate events—the city aims to leverage its natural and cultural assets to attract new visitors and increase their length of stay.

Fábio Parente, the Municipal Secretary of Economic Development, stated that tourism can generate significant economic impact by creating jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities. To support this, the city is developing the ‘Radar do Turismo’ to identify growth opportunities. Planned initiatives include a Municipal Tourism Plan, a tourism supply inventory, and communication strategies to position the city as a destination for business, technology, and nature tourism.
