Primavera do Leste upgrades shelter and adds accessible health bus
The municipality of Primavera do Leste is investing roughly R$ 577,000 to fully renovate the Albergue Municipal. The overhaul includes new bathrooms, dormitories, kitchen, dining area and laundry facilities, and a new perimeter wall costing about R$ 377,743.35. Mayor Sérgio Machnic, Vice‑Mayor Iva Viana and Social Assistance Secretary Alexssandra Ziliotto inspected the work, with the mayor noting, "When we took office in 2025 the situation was deplorable…today we are delivering a ‘note ten’ space."
In a separate initiative, the city received a brand‑new micro‑bus for its Transport Fora do Domicílio program, valued at R$ 584,600. Funded with Ministry of Health resources and federal support, the vehicle features a wheelchair lift, air‑conditioning and comfortable seats, enabling safe, dignified travel for patients to specialist centers in Cuiabá and Rondonópolis. Health Secretary Laura Leandra and the mayor highlighted the bus as part of a humanised health‑care approach.
