The Primavera Sound festival is expanding its presence in Buenos Aires, with the 2026 edition scheduled for November 28 and 29 at the Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires. The lineup features international acts including Gorillaz, The Strokes, FKA twigs, Lily Allen, and Courtney Barnett, alongside various Argentine talents.

Damon Albarn, the musical leader of Gorillaz, expressed a strong desire to return to Argentina, describing it as one of his favorite countries due to its vibrant spirit and intelligence.

Parallel to festival growth, industry discussions at the Primavera Pro conference in Barcelona have highlighted the legal tensions surrounding outdoor music events. Debates centered on the conflict between residents' rights to quiet and the constitutional rights to artistic creation and cultural access. In Barcelona, local resident groups have previously taken legal action against the festival's noise impact, illustrating the ongoing challenge for cities to balance urban living with large-scale cultural production.
