Prime Infra and Philippines Climate Change Commission sign adaptation deal
Prime Infrastructure Capital Inc. (Prime Infra) and the Philippine Climate Change Commission (CCC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on climate resilience, ecological stewardship, and nature-based solutions. The partnership aims to support the Philippines’ National Adaptation Plan (2023–2050) and the Nationally Determined Contribution Implementation Plan.
A key focus of the agreement is assisting local government units (LGUs) in accessing climate financing, such as the People’s Survival Fund, and strengthening their Local Climate Change Action Plans. The collaboration will also involve developing greenhouse gas inventories and watershed protection programs through Prime Infra’s sustainability platform, Prime Kalikasan.
Additionally, the two entities signed a separate agreement for Prime Infra to support the Philippine Hub at the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, scheduled for November 2026 in Antalya, Turkiye.
