Prime Minister Mark Phillips conducts Cabinet outreach in Ituni
Prime Minister Mark Phillips and Member of Parliament Sanjeev Datadin conducted a Cabinet outreach in Ituni, Region Ten, to engage residents directly regarding community development. The initiative aims to place local priorities at the center of the government's planning agenda by allowing citizens to identify pressing needs and propose specific projects.
During the engagement, Prime Minister Phillips stated that the government intends to move beyond relying solely on reports from regional officials by meeting citizens in their own communities. Concerns raised by residents will be documented in a government database, which Phillips described as a ‘checklist for development’ to ensure issues are tracked and addressed.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the country's economic expansion should result in improved livelihoods and expanded opportunities for families and young people across Guyana, encouraging citizens to build their futures within the country.
