Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa calls for unified national resilience efforts
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa emphasized the necessity of integrating government and civil efforts to bolster national and community resilience amid escalating Israeli attacks and settler violence. Speaking at a consultative session organized with the Palestine Liberation Organization’s Department of Social Affairs, Mustafa highlighted the need to transition from fragmented crisis responses to a unified national approach.
This strategy aims to protect citizens and land, enhance social protection, ensure the continuity of essential services, and support local production and the economy across both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Mustafa noted that current challenges have exposed weaknesses in the existing social protection system, necessitating a comprehensive review and the development of new policies and tools to meet future needs.
Regarding the Gaza Strip, the Prime Minister stated, “We do not want to lose Gaza,” stressing that the territory is an essential part of the nation. He affirmed that efforts are underway to facilitate Gaza’s recovery, reconstruction, and institutional reintegration into the unified national framework. The Prime Minister also called for increased investment in human resources, education, and digital transformation to strengthen the national economy.
