PM Narendra Modi stresses nation‑first principle in recent addresses
Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the social‑media platform X on 24 June to share a Sanskrit shloka praising collective sacrifice and effort as the basis for the nation’s enduring prosperity. The post followed a similar tribute shared on 23 June honoring Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his martyrdom day.
In a speech to the Republic Summit on 22 June, Modi reiterated that “nation‑first” is the guiding ethos behind every decision and development initiative. He cited India’s progress since the 2014 election, noting the transformation of former Naxal‑affected districts into “aspirational” blocks, the rollout of mobile towers, banking correspondents, post offices, and expanded transport infrastructure—including metros, high‑speed trains and a doubling of airports. He highlighted India’s growing reliability on the global stage, referencing recent G‑7 engagements and the country’s emerging role as a trusted economic power.
