Prime Minister Tareq Rahman approves 30 million taka for Christmas celebrations

Prime Minister Tareq Rahman has approved a 30 million taka grant for the Christian Religious Welfare Trust to celebrate Christmas 2026. While the Trust initially requested 20 million taka to fund religious and social welfare activities across the country, the Prime Minister directed that 30 million taka be allocated instead.

The funds will be distributed through the Ministry of Religious Affairs from the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund. The grant is intended to support various religious rituals and social welfare programs in both urban and marginalized areas during the major Christian festival on December 25.
