Prime Minister Tareq Rahman holds bilateral meetings in New York

During the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tareq Rahman held several bilateral meetings to strengthen international ties.

In a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral relations. They committed to deepening cooperation in areas including trade, investment, communication, education, tourism, and people-to-people contact. Sharif also congratulated Rahman on assuming the role of President of the 81st UN General Assembly.

Additionally, Prime Minister Rahman met with Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. The discussions focused on expanding the historical friendship between Bangladesh and Kuwait, specifically targeting increased labor export, trade, investment, and economic cooperation. Both leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining high-level communication between political leaderships to further mutual interests.
