Prime Minister Tareq Rahman visits Chittagong Puja mandap
Prime Minister Tareq Rahman visited the JM Sen Hall Puja mandap in Chittagong on Tuesday evening. This visit follows his earlier inspections of the Dhara Govinda Temple in Rangpur and the Dharmapasha Temple in Rajshahi.
Upon arriving at Shah Amanat International Airport, the Prime Minister was received by several ministers, including Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Home Minister Salah Uddin Ahmad. During his visit to the mandap, he is expected to exchange greetings with members of the Hindu community and provide financial donations.
Following the religious visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend an organizational meeting with top BNP leaders from the Chittagong Metropolitan, North, and South districts at the Radisson Blu hotel. The meeting aims to evaluate grassroots organizers and revitalize party activities.
To facilitate the visit, Chittagong has undergone significant beautification, including road repairs in areas such as Kazir Dewri and Jamal Khan. Security has been heightened with a four-tier deployment involving over 20,000 personnel from the police, SRB, Ansar, and BGB.
