Prime Original ‘Can You Call 100 Friends?’ Season 2 reveals new rules

Promotional interview footage has been released for the second season of the Prime Original reality series, ‘Can You Call 100 Friends?’, which is scheduled to begin streaming on August 28. The show is a high-stakes friendship experiment where participants compete for a 100 million yen prize.

Game masters Toshio Shitara and Bakurism explained that the rules have evolved from the first season. Instead of simply inviting the most friends, players must now form teams where the ability of the invited friends to perform in games and earn points determines the winner. This new structure introduces a hierarchy of usefulness among friends, creating psychological conflict for the players.

Participants including Takahisa Masuda, Becky, and Shinobu Hasegawa shared highlights from the production. Masuda noted the presence of numerous elite athletes, such as Homare Sawada and Saori Yoshida, and praised Chiharu Koyabu for his leadership. Becky highlighted Gekidan Hitori’s intense presence and expressed gratitude toward Jun Nagura for his support. Hasegawa mentioned dramatic moments involving Takayuki Yoshimura and Manju Wada.
