Prime Video adds Mark Ruffalo and Naomi Watts drama ‘We Don’t Live Here Anymore’

The 2004 marital drama ‘We Don’t Live Here Anymore’ is now available for streaming on Prime Video. Directed by John Curran, the film is based on two short stories by Andre Dubus.

Set in a Pacific Northwest college town, the story follows two married couples—Jack Linden (Mark Ruffalo) and Terry (Laura Dern), and Hank Evans (Peter Krause) and Edith (Naomi Watts)—whose relationships are strained by resentment and emotional distance. The plot centers on an affair between Jack and Edith that triggers a cycle of jealousy and retaliation between the two couples.

The film originally premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, where screenwriter Larry Gross won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award. While it had a modest theatrical gross of nearly $2.3 million, the production received praise for the performances of its lead cast.
