Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 Trailer Unveiled

Prime Video released the first trailer for the second season of its animated series Batman: Caped Crusader at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival’s Studio Focus panel. The 30‑second preview introduces Edward Nygma as a new Riddler and ends with a brief tease of the Joker, confirming both villains will play major roles in the upcoming season.

All ten episodes will debut worldwide on Prime Video on July 31, 2026, as a binge‑release. The series, a hard‑boiled, film‑noir reimagining of Batman’s early crime‑fighting years, is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC Studios, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho, with J. J. Abrams, Matt Reeves and Bruce Timm serving as executive producers. After being dropped by HBO Max during Warner Bros. Discovery’s cost‑cutting, the show found a new home on Prime Video, where its first season earned strong critical praise.

The trailer also signals a broader slate of announcements at Annecy, including the renewal of Invincible for a sixth season, but the primary focus remains on Batman’s return with new adversaries such as the Riddler, Joker, Scarecrow and Mad Hatter.
