Prime Video announces Japanese remake of ‘Quiz from God’

Prime Video has announced that the Japanese remake of the Korean mystery drama ‘Quiz from God’ will premiere globally on December 4, 2026. The series is a reimagining of the popular CJ ENM production, which originally ran for five seasons.

Starring Shotaro Mamiya, the drama follows Haruto Hatsushima, a former neurosurgeon turned forensic pathologist at the National Forensic Autopsy Center. Known for his extraordinary talent, Hatsushima investigates inexplicable deaths in modern-day Tokyo, ranging from the sudden passing of an underground idol to deaths linked to organized crime and rare, undetectable medical conditions.

The production, which has been in development for over a decade, aims to explore societal fractures through the lens of medical mysteries. While the Japanese version features a different tone and setting than the original, creators intend to maintain the core elements that made the Korean series a success.
