Prime Video announces Muhammad Ali biographical series ‘The Greatest’

Prime Video has released the trailer and premiere date for ‘The Greatest’, an eight-episode biographical series centered on the life of boxing legend Muhammad Ali. The series is scheduled to debut on November 4, 2026, with all episodes available on the streaming platform from the first day.

Starring Jaalen Best as the young Cassius Clay, the production explores Ali’s formative years, beginning with his 1960 Olympic gold medal in Rome and leading up to his 1964 victory against Sonny Liston. The narrative aims to go beyond the ring, depicting his personal struggles, political convictions, and the challenges of growing up in a segregated United States.

The series is produced by several companies, including Outlier Society, owned by Michael B. Jordan. Lonnie Ali, the widow of the former heavyweight champion, serves as an executive producer to ensure authenticity. The cast also includes Omari Hardwick, Giovanni Ribisi, and Michael Ealy.
