Prime Video begins filming Brazilian suspense series Obsessão

Prime Video has announced the official cast and the start of filming for its new Brazilian original fiction series, tentatively titled “Obsessão”. The suspense drama is set against the backdrop of the adult content industry, exploring its secrets and controversies.

The plot follows the mysterious disappearance of Lorena, an adult content creator played by Marina Ruy Barbosa. Her disappearance triggers a dangerous investigation led by Miguel, an app driver portrayed by Marco Pigossi, who becomes obsessed with finding her. Miguel teams up with Violeta, a newcomer to the platform played by Any Gabrielly, to navigate the industry's underworld.

Produced by Coiote, the series is directed by Gabriela Amaral Almeida and Philippe Barcinski. Julia Priolli, Creative Head at Amazon MGM Studios in Brazil, noted that the production aims to explore the subject matter with responsibility and care regarding the representation of bodies.
