Prime Video begins filming ‘Tour de France’ series
Prime Video has announced the start of filming for a new fiction series titled ‘Tour de France’, produced in collaboration with France Télévisions. The series, based on an original idea by director Louis Leterrier, is scheduled for an exclusive release in Spain, France, and Portugal in 2027.
The plot follows Nora, a powerful businesswoman played by Joséphine Japy, who acquires Deepblue, a French cycling team on the brink of bankruptcy. As she attempts to apply her corporate management methods to the professional peloton, she must navigate the complexities of the sport through her interactions with Mathias, an injured former star, and Ayden, a rising young prodigy.
The production is led by creators Alexandre Delaporte and Grégory Nicolas, with direction by Jean-Baptiste Pouilloux and Frédéric Jardin. The cast includes Joséphine Japy, Julien Frison, Félix Lefebvre, Jonathan Zaccaï, Eric Masip, and Joan Amargós.
