Prime Video drama ‘Oishii no Tsukurikata’ announces new cast

The Prime Video original drama ‘Oishii no Tsukurikata’ (How to Make Delicious Food) has announced additional cast members, including Maki Sakai, Yuno Nagao, and Takeo Nakahara. The series is written, directed, and produced by Yutaka Matsushige, who will also appear in a supporting role as a nursing home director.

The human drama stars Yukiya Kitamura as Eiji Mizuhashi, a skilled chef who has withdrawn from society following a professional setback. The story follows Mizuhashi after he begins working at a nursing home, where his cooking helps a resident, Tomoko (played by Mariko Kaga), regain her will to live. The plot intensifies when Tomoko’s granddaughter, Kana (played by Non), discovers that Mizuhashi’s pork sauté tastes identical to the signature dish of her late grandfather’s beloved restaurant, ‘Kitchen Osawa.’

The series is scheduled for exclusive streaming on Prime Video starting October 3, 2026.
