Prime Video greenlights Stephen King’s ‘Crouch End’ series
Prime Video has greenlit a six-episode limited series adaptation of Stephen King’s short story, ‘Crouch End’. The production marks the first time a King adaptation will be produced in the United Kingdom, set in the North London neighborhood of the same name.
The story, which serves as a tribute to H.P. Lovecraft, follows international film star Doris Freeman. After her husband mysteriously vanishes, she reports strange phenomena to a London police station, prompting Inspector Ted Vetter to investigate whether she is telling the truth, hiding a crime, or facing a supernatural threat.
Paul Tomalin will adapt the story, while Tom Shankland is set to direct. The series is being produced by Mammoth Screen and Fifth Season. While a release date has not been announced, casting is reportedly underway.
