Prime Video launches 'Barreda' series on infamous Argentine dentist murders

The drama series "Barreda" dramatizes the 1992 quadruple femicide in La Plata committed by dentist Ricardo Barreda, who killed his wife, mother‑in‑law and two daughters. Luis Machín portrays Barreda, with Carla Peterson and Mercedes Morán playing the victims. Directed by Daniela Goggi, the production is a co‑venture between About Entertainment, Infinity Hill and Amazon MGM Studios.

The series will premiere on 28 August on Prime Video and will be available in more than 240 countries and territories. It revisits the case from the victims’ perspective and highlights the extensive media scandal the murders generated in Argentina.
