Prime Video orders tennis drama ‘Rally’ from Julie Plec and Andre Agassi

Prime Video has ordered a new competitive tennis drama series titled ‘Rally’. The project is led by showrunner and writer Julie Plec, known for ‘The Vampire Diaries’, and will be executive produced by former professional tennis player Andre Agassi.

Set at a hyper-competitive elite tennis academy, the series explores the personal sacrifices and isolation experienced by ambitious young players. The project was inspired by Guymon Casady’s observations of his children training at the IMG Academy.

The series is being produced by Universal Television in association with Entertainment 360 and Amazon MGM Studios. Executive producers include Agassi, Justin Gimelstob, Emily Cummins, and Guymon Casady.
