Prime Video releases ‘El Juicio’ starring Eugenio Derbez and Pedro Alonso

Prime Video is releasing ‘El Juicio’ (The Trial), an eight-episode psychological thriller inspired by real-life sexual assault cases. The series stars Eugenio Derbez and Pedro Alonso as two fathers on opposing sides of a legal battle.

The plot follows a confrontation triggered by a sexual assault accusation made by a young woman against the son of a powerful businessman. While one father seeks justice for his daughter, the other utilizes his vast resources and influence to intimidate the victim and exploit flaws within the judicial system. The production aims to explore themes of impunity, structural violence, and the thin line between seeking justice and taking it into one's own hands.

Written and directed by Daniel Krauze, the series is scheduled for a global release in over 200 countries, including Spain and Mexico.
