Prime Video renews teen drama Sterling Point for second season

Prime Video has officially renewed the original teen drama series ‘Sterling Point’ for a second season. The announcement comes just weeks after the eight-episode first season premiered on August 5, 2026, and quickly rose to the top of the platform’s most-watched series rankings.

Created, directed, and co-showrun by Megan Park, the series follows 17-year-old Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin), a New York native who inherits a mysterious island in Muskoka, Canada, from her late grandfather. Upon arriving at the island, Annie discovers long-hidden family secrets and forms unexpected connections, including meeting her secret half-sister, Ramona (Amélie Hoeferle).

The show has received critical praise, including a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, for its authentic dialogue and realistic portrayal of adolescent relationships. Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, noted that the series has captivated millions of viewers worldwide. While details regarding the second season's plot and release date have not yet been disclosed, the production team has expressed enthusiasm for continuing the story.
