Primiero hosts 2026 MTB Marathon World Championships

The 2026 MTB Marathon World Championships are taking place in Primiero, Italy, featuring over 180 athletes from 35 countries. The elite men's and women's races are held on a demanding 95 km course with 4,000 meters of elevation gain.

In the men's category, defending champion Keegan Swenson faces a highly competitive field. Key contenders include UCI ranking leader David Valero Serrano, two-time world champion Héctor Leonardo Páez León, and Andreas Seewald. Other notable participants include Wout Alleman, Samuele Porro, and Bradyn Lange.

The course is designed for endurance, featuring technical descents and several significant climbs, such as Col dei Cistri and Forcella Calaita. This edition also marks a historic milestone as the Masters category will compete for world titles at the same venue during the same weekend.
