Primož Roglič faces Vuelta uncertainty and contract talks

Slovenian cyclist Primož Roglič is facing uncertainty regarding his participation in the Vuelta a España, scheduled to begin on August 22, following a collision with a car in late July. The Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe rider has already missed the San Sebastian Classic and the Vuelta a Burgos to recover from the accident, which left him with significant bruising on his right leg.

Reports indicate that his recovery is not progressing according to the original plan. His team is expected to make a final decision on his participation in the Grand Tour in the coming days, with an official roster presentation planned for August 20.

Separately, Roglič's professional future is also under discussion. As his current contract with Red Bull–Bora–Hansgrohe expires at the end of the season, he has reportedly entered talks with the Belgian team Lotto–Intermarché. While no agreement has been reached, both parties have shown mutual interest in a potential move.
