Primož Roglič prepares for major cycling events in Slovenia

Professional cyclist Primož Roglič is preparing for an upcoming major event in Slovenia, expressing confidence in his form despite challenges with time zone adjustments. Roglič noted that the steep climbs on the course will serve as a selection point for the riders.

The event also marks the final professional race for veteran cyclist Luka Mezgec. Following his retirement from competitive racing, Mezgec will transition into a role as a sports director for Red Bull. Mezgec expressed the honor of competing on home soil for his final race and offered advice to Roglič regarding his pacing on the climbs.

In a separate charitable initiative, the Primož Roglič Foundation, in partnership with OTP Bank, is organizing the fifth 'Golden Loop' charity cycling ride. Returning to the Styria region, the event will start and end in Maribor on October 11. Participants will ride a 61-kilometer route through various municipalities, including Ptuj, with proceeds from registration and a charity auction of Roglič’s equipment benefiting the foundation.
