Primorsko-goranska County discusses budget and port infrastructure
The Primorsko-goranska County Assembly recently held a session to discuss the mid-year budget execution, the work report of County Prefect Ivica Lukanović, and various infrastructure projects. The consolidated budget stands at 406.9 million euros, with revenues and expenditures for the first half of the year reaching approximately 169.97 million and 169.18 million euros, respectively. While capital expenditures reached 21.9 million euros, the report on budget execution did not receive the required 21 votes for adoption.
During the session, significant attention was given to the shortage of communal moorings in the Kvarner region. Prefect Lukanović reported that approximately 3,260 people are currently waiting for boat moorings, with the highest demand in Bakar, Kraljevica, and Kostrena. To address this, the county has unified data from eight port administrations to better direct investments. The county has allocated 3.495 million euros from its budget to port administrations this year to support various projects and infrastructure improvements.
