Primus Inter Pares award opens applications for master's scholarships

The 22nd edition of the Primus Inter Pares award, a joint initiative by Santander Portugal and Expresso, has opened applications for university scholarships. The program aims to support high-achieving students in pursuing master's degrees at Portuguese higher education institutions.

This year, the program will distribute a total of 55,000 euros through five scholarships. A new category, the ‘Grande Vencedor’ (Grand Winner), has been introduced for the top candidate among ten finalists, who will receive 15,000 euros. The remaining four winners will each receive 10,000 euros.

To be eligible, applicants must be Portuguese, up to 25 years old, in their final year of a bachelor's degree or already graduated. Candidates must have a minimum academic average of 14 values and must not have previously completed a master's degree. Applications are open until October 31 via the Santander Open Academy platform. The selection process includes psychometric tests, online interviews, and a final evaluation by a jury during the ‘Primus Day’ event.
