Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene reunite with Pope Leo XIV in France
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco reunited with Pope Leo XIV in Metz, France, on September 28. The meeting marked the final day of the Pope’s four-day apostolic journey through France.
The royals attended a gathering titled “At the Roots of Europe for Peace and Unity” at the Robert Schuman Congress Centre. They were joined by French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron, as well as Luxembourg’s Grand Duke Guillaume and Prime Minister Luc Frieden. The event focused on the future of Europe and the importance of peace and unity.
Princess Charlene attended the event in a white Dior ensemble, opting for a more informal interpretation of traditional protocol by wearing trousers and a floral-embroidered jacket rather than a formal gown.
