Prince Andrew accused of vulgar pickup line amid misconduct investigation

Historian Andrew Lownie, author of *Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York*, told Page Six that the former Duke of York used a crude pickup line, saying, “What’s it feel like to have the royal c**k against your thigh?” He also recounted an incident on a plane where Andrew allegedly whirled around and placed his groin against a flight attendant’s backside before mimicking a golf swing. Lownie said the former royal repeatedly behaved in ways that embarrassed women, describing “sexual humiliation” such as pulling down women’s dresses at balls.

Prince Andrew was stripped of his royal titles in 2023 after his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein became public. He has faced multiple accusations, including alleged rape of Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre when she was a minor, a multimillion‑dollar settlement with her, and her suicide in April 2025. In February 2026, on his 66th birthday, he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, reportedly for forwarding confidential trade documents to Epstein. He was released pending further proceedings.
