Prince Aymeric of Belgium finishes second in 24H 2CV race

Prince Aymeric of Belgium secured a second-place finish in the 24H 2CV endurance race held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Competing for the first time in the event, Aymeric drove the number 14 green 2CV for team The Golden Horse 1, alongside teammates Clément Nopere, Geoffroy Van Derton, and Jordan Genten.

The race was officially inaugurated by Prince Laurent, the prince's father, who waved the starting flag on Saturday. Prince Laurent previously participated in the same endurance race in 1994, though his team was forced to retire due to engine failure.

Aymeric, a business student based near Maastricht, noted the pressure of the competition, particularly as he had limited practice time due to academic examinations. While motorsport is a hobby for the prince, his performance marks a successful milestone following his father's previous attempt at the circuit.
