Prince George to start at Eton College this September

Prince George, the 12‑year‑old son of Prince William and Catherine, will begin his studies at the elite Eton College in September. He has successfully passed the school's entrance examination, and the decision was driven by concerns over security and the school's proximity to the royal family's Forest Lodge residence in Windsor Great Park.

Eton has a long tradition of educating British royals; William himself attended the school and it has produced numerous prime ministers. Tuition costs are around £63,000 per year. Royal commentator Andrew Morton has discussed the choice, noting that while other schools such as Oundle were considered, Eton is the most likely option for the future king.

The move marks a significant step in Prince George's education and public profile as the heir apparent's schooling garners considerable media attention.
