Prince George begins studies at Eton College
Prince George, the 13-year-old second in line to the British throne, has officially begun his studies at Eton College. Accompanied by his parents, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, George arrived at the historic Berkshire boarding school on a rainy morning.
George follows a royal tradition at the institution, having been preceded by his father and his uncle, Prince Harry. The elite school, founded in 1440, is known for its rigorous academic standards and prestigious alumni, including 20 British prime ministers.
As a full-time boarder, George will reside in one of the school's 25 boarding houses. The family's proximity to the school is aided by their residence at Windsor, allowing for easier contact despite the boarding arrangement. Upon arrival, George was greeted by Headmaster Simon Henderson and Provost Sir Nicholas Coleridge.
