Prince George to begin studies at Eton College in September

Prince George, the 12‑year‑old second in line to the British throne, will start at the elite Eton College in Windsor this September, according to an announcement by Kensington Palace. The decision follows a careful selection process by his parents, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, and mirrors the schooling of both his father and his uncle Prince Harry, who previously attended the same boarding school.

Eton, founded in 1440 and located a few minutes from the royal family’s Windsor residence, charges approximately £63,300 (around €73,200) per year, making it accessible mainly to privileged families. Its alumni list includes former prime ministers such as David Cameron and Boris Johnson, as well as notable actors like Eddie Redmayne. Prince George will join roughly 1,300 other boys aged 13‑18 at the historic institution.
