Prince George set to attend Eton College this September

Prince George, the 12‑year‑old son of Prince William and Catherine, will begin studies at Eton College in Windsor in September 2026 after completing his final year at Lambrook School. The move was confirmed by an official Kensington Palace announcement.

The decision was motivated by a desire for a secure, supportive environment and the school’s proximity to the family home at Forest Lodge. William and Catherine inspected several schools before selecting Eton, an elite all‑boys boarding school that costs roughly €74,000 (£64,000) per year (about $81,000).

George will follow a family tradition; both his father and uncle Prince Harry attended Eton, and the school’s alumni include numerous British prime ministers and prominent cultural figures. His enrollment continues the royal practice of choosing prestigious institutions for education.
